Commercial & Portraiture Services

My portraiture is based on either visiting your home or a location of your choice with a mobile studio so that you can be completely at ease for the photo session. Studio sessions are also available. Photoshoots are available from €65. Gift vouchers for this service act as an ideal gift.

Personal and Documentary

My documentary work is produced as photobooks or videos on subjects that interest me and are available for purchase on request. Samples of the documentary work can be viewed by selecting the "Personal and Documentary Portfolio" tab on the main menu.

Wedding Services

My Wedding Photography service is customised to your requirements to obtain the best blend of formal and informal images to ensure that you enjoy the day and have the images to re-live the event in the years to come.

John Carroll Biography

After a long career in IT, I am working full time as a professional photographer. I graduated from Griffith College Dubin's degree course in Photographic Media in 2016. At the graduate exhibition my work was nominated for RDS Visual Arts awards and Inspirational Arts awards. Images from it were nominated for the Smedia “Photographer of the Year” and “Sports Photographer of the Year” 2017 awards.  Since then one of the images from the project was exhibited in the RHA annual Exhibition 2017 and purchased by the OPW. Dublin City Library used it for Heritage week 2017 and 12 images were exhibited for the month of August 2017 in Ballyfermot library. Three of the images were featured in the Half Tone Fair in the Library Project in Temple Bar in November 2017. It was exhibited as part of the Five Lamps Arts Festival in March 2018.

I was the stills photographer for TV3's six part series on crime called "Assassins" and Loosehorse’s documentary for RTE called Election ‘18. 

My most recent photobook " Candidate " looks at the 2016 election campaign of Aodhán Ó Ríordain. One of the images from this series was selected by the RHA for inclusion in its 2018 Annual Exhibition.
